My grandma and grandpa bought Silk Balance to help the water be soft on their skin and Grandpa has arthritis. They like it and asked me if I would pose for them. Since I am not camera shy, I said yes. They let me get in the tub with my life jacket on. Grandma has a little duck in the water that we play with. We recently purchased a new Hot Springs spa in July of 2009. The dealer we purchased from recommended using the Silk Balance system. After using Silk Balance for the last 4 months our spar water has remained clean and clear. We like the idea of not suing the more corrosive type of chemicals to keep our water PH at its proper level. We also both noticed that it did make our skin feel soft. As you know, I tried every single hot tub chemical system on the market before using Silk Balance, but the result was always the same - terrible eczema reaction. I went two years without ever using our hot tub. This was very difficult for me, because I purchased the tub for post-exercise therapy. Running a triathlon is not much fun if you can't look forward to jumping into the hot tub afterwards. But finally, after two years and your recommendation, I agreed to try one more product before selling the tub. I can't believe it. I'm back in the tub with no skin reaction whatsoever. It's amazing. And the fact that I don't have to constantly test the water is nice, especially since both my husband and I have very busy jobs! There's no way I'm selling our hot tub now! I am writing to you to let you know about my little “miracle” because of silk balance treatment for my hot tub. I owned my Hot Springs spa for about a year when I suddenly developed an intense rash that covered my whole chest. My doctor recommended that I stay out of the hot tub which I did for almost 3 months. When I attempted using my hot tub again the very next day my severe rash returned. This dilemma left me knowing that I had developed an allergy to my old chemicals. I was facing the hard fact that I may never get to sit in my hot tub ever again knowing my skin was too sensitive to use regular hot tub chemicals. Hi Rich, Thank you for sharing the program with us. We purchased SilkBalance after experiencing problems with our old chemical system. We use our spa about every other day and absolutely love it. However, my husband started experiencing dry, itchy skin and rashes irritating enough that we had to limit our time spent relaxing in the water. After changing to the Silk Balance system the irritations disappeared and we are back to soaking a lot! It is so easy. We have given up the constant water testing and adding of chemicals (up to five every week) for the simple Silk Balance system. We don't understand why everyone isn't switching! Thank you. Hi, We purchased Silk Balance for our new hot tub and we love it. It has taken all of the guesswork out of what chemical mixture to put in the tub. We have well water at our home and it has alot of iron in it. SilkBalance has created the perfect balance of chemicals to keep the iron clear in our hot tub. We also love the way that our skin feels when we get out of the hot tub. We don't feel like we have dry skin. I found information on your product by looking on the Internet for how to's on chemicals for hot tubs and am very glad that I did. I was feeling a little overwhelmed on how to keep the chemicals balanced and which ones to use for what situation. I would recommend this product to any hot tub owner. Hello Mrs. Cunningham, "I'm a family physician in his sixties. Over the years my skin has gotten drier, and during the winter I get eczema rashes. I had to limit my use of my Olympic Hot Tub (the Bengal) to once a week or less. Any more frequently increased the itchy rash. This was a big disappointment to me because the hot tub has long been part of my stress management. When I get into the tub, the stress just melts away. I was in the showroom, buying some more Spa Shock, when I saw someone with this tear-shaped orange bottle. He was telling the salesperson that he used the Silk treatment weekly, and since he did, his skin was much better. Having overheard him and sensing his delight with the product, I decided to try it myself. I purged the tub and filled it with fresh water, according to the instructions. I did not use the Calcium Hardener, but did use the shock, Silk, and a bit of chlorine. Then I started using the tub daily. What is truly amazing is that my dry skin and rash have diminished dramatically. The water feels soft on my skin, and my sense is that the natural oils are not washed away as much with the softer water. I also enjoy the feel of the softer water compared to the Calcium hardened water. The further benefit is that I don't have to check the chemical balance of the tub anymore. I just trust that with weekly application of the Silk, the balance will be maintained appropriately. I've been using the Silk weekly ever since. I have very sensative skin, so when my husband and I were considering purchasing a hot tub, my main concern was all the chemicals that are usually used. When we found SilkBalance it seemed as if all of our problems were solved, and all of my concerns were gone. My wife and I had dreamed of owning a hot tub for years and were finally able to purchase our Hot Springs tub a year and a half ago. We love the tub, but I suddenly started getting an itchy rash and dry skin all over. As a result I was forced to not use the tub I had waited so long for. Dear John, Linda and I expected that our new Hot Spring spa from CreativeEnergy would be an improvement over the 20-year old Sundance that it replaced, and it certainly has been. My neck and back feel much better with the more powerful and superbly positioned jets. What we didn't expect were the surprising benefits from the SilkBalance water care treatment that you recommended. I couldn't use the old spa as frequently as my doctor prescribed because the bromine made me cough and my skin got very dry. SilkBalance made those problems go away. Now Linda and I can use the spa every day as we're supposed to, and as an extra benefit we don't have to spend time being chemists. YIPEE! No more constant measuring and testing since we have started using "Silk Balance". The almost daily task of testing the water in our hot tub to make sure that it was just right, and determining what chemicals to add, are no longer necessary. What a relief! Since beginning the Silk Balance program, we no longer suffer from hot tub rash. We became very hesitant to use new hot tub after it was obvious that we were having reaction to the various chemicals necessary to maintain our tub. We were so desperate that we had almost decided to get rid of the hot tub. Thanks to discovering the new product on the market (Silk Balance), we can now use and enjoy our hot tub with complete confidence that we will not suffer with any itchy, red rash any more. Hello Cassidy, We talked at the stores in Clackamas last week. Enclosed please find the photo we took with SilkBalance. Our skin is definitely feel much softer when we got out of the tub. We didn’t even have to apply lotion afterward and not feeling itchy at all when we get to bed! The weekly maintenance is so simple and we don’t have to test the water as often. Hi Alice, A couple of weeks ago we purchased Silk Balance. I was so impressed with the testimonials we signed up for the auto ship. I have suffered with dry skin and eczema for a number of years and haven't been able to hottub much since then. My skin feels so soft and there is no dry flaky skin after drying off. It's wonderful. It is so much easier to maintain the tub.

If you are unsure, I've owned a Hot Spring Envoy hot tub for several years now. Normally I get in 4-5 times per week and love it. During this time I've developed a dry skin condition. When Silk Balance was introduced I decided to give it a try. What a treat! The water is so soft and smooth and easy to care for. My dry skin condition has disappeared and my skin is back to normal. Dear fellow spa owners, I purchased my Hanson's spa last summer after having surgery to replace both of my knees. Buying the spa was one of the best things I could have done for myself, since it was so therapeutic - both physically and mentally - after many months of recovery and physical therapy. I am very fair skinned and have a lot of skin sensitivity to lotions and soap. So, daily use of my spa meant that my skin was drying out.
